Annual Festival Calendar

Preserving the ancient Vaishnava traditions and Vaikhanasa Agama. Experience the divine celebrations throughout the year.

Chaitra Masam

  • On the auspicious day of Ugadi, Tirumanjanam Seva is performed to Sri Prahlada Varada Perumal in the afternoon.
  • Veedhi Utsavam (Temple Procession) is held in the evening.

Vaishakha Masam

  • Sri Narasimha Jayanthi Mahotsavam commences.
  • Sri Prahlada Varada Perumal, accompanied by Sri Devi and Bhu Devi, gives darshan at the Addala Mandapam (Mirror Hall).
  • Daily Tirumanjanam and Veedhi Utsavam are conducted throughout the festival.
  • On the 10th day (Vaishakha Shuddha Chaturdashi), the grand Sri Narasimha Jayanthi is celebrated.
  • 108 Kalasa Tirumanjanam followed by the Pushpa Pallaki (Flower Palanquin) Procession is conducted with great devotion.

Jyeshtha Masam

  • On the Janma Nakshatra of the Lord, Jyeshtabhishekam is performed to the Utsava Murti.
  • Garuda Seva is held in the morning.
  • 108 Kalasa Tirumanjanam (Shata Kalasa Tirumanjanam) is performed in the afternoon.

Ashadha Masam

  • On Pubba (Purva Phalguni) Nakshatra, Tirumanjanam is performed for Sri Andal Thayar.
  • Kalyanotsavam (Divine Celestial Wedding) is celebrated in the evening.

Shravana Masam

  • On Swathi Nakshatra, Abhishekam is performed to the Lord.
  • Varalakshmi Vratham is observed on the Friday preceding Shravana Pournami, with special rituals and prayers.

Bhadrapada Masam

  • During the nine days of Navaratri, Abhishekam is performed daily to the Lord and to Sri Devi, Bhu Devi, and Amruthavalli Thayar.
  • Every evening, Amruthavalli Thayar Utsavam is conducted.
  • On Vijayadashami, the Lord proceeds to the Shami Tree for the traditional Shami Puja.
  • Pavitrotsavam is celebrated for four days at Upper Ahobilam beginning from Vijayadashami.
  • Pavitrotsavam is also conducted for five days at Lower Ahobilam, commencing on Pournami.

Ashwayuja Masam

  • On Deepavali, Tirumanjanam is performed to all Perumals.
  • A grand Veedhi Utsavam is conducted in the evening.

Kartika Masam

  • On Kartika Pournami, the Deepotsavam (Festival of Lights) is celebrated.
  • Veedhi Utsavam is conducted in the evening.
  • On Uttarabhadra Nakshatra, the 45th Pattam Sri Azhagiyasingar Thirunakshatra Jayanthi is celebrated.

Margashira Masam

  • Tiruppalliyezhuchi Utsavam is conducted every day during the early morning hours.
  • On Vaikuntha Ekadashi, devotees are offered Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
  • This is followed by the grand Garuda Seva.
  • From the 1st to the 10th day of Margazhi, the Pagal Pathu Utsavam is celebrated.
  • From the 11th day onwards, the Raa Pathu Utsavam is conducted for ten days.

Pushya Masam

  • Beginning on Makara Sankranti, Sri Prahlada Varada Swamy and Sri Jwala Narasimha Swamy undertake the traditional Parveta Utsavam, visiting 33 surrounding villages of the Allagadda Mandal for 40 days.
  • The 41-day Narasimha Deeksha (Mandala Deeksha) also commences on Makara Sankranti.

Magha Masam

  • Ratha Saptami (Surya Jayanthi) is observed with special prayers and Surya Prabha Vahanam procession.
  • Bhishma Ekadashi is celebrated with the grand recitation of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram.

Phalguna Masam

  • The annual Brahmotsavam is celebrated from Phalguna Shuddha Panchami to Pournami.
  • On Panchami, Dwajarohanam (Flag Hoisting) is performed at Upper Ahobilam.
  • On the following day, Dwajarohanam is conducted at Lower Ahobilam.
  • On Pournami, Garuda Seva and Dwajavarohanam (Flag Lowering) take place at Upper Ahobilam.
  • On the same day, the Rathotsavam (Temple Chariot Festival) is celebrated in the morning at Lower Ahobilam.
  • On the following day, Garuda Seva and Dwajavarohanam are conducted at Lower Ahobilam.

Swathi Nakshatra

On every Swathi Nakshatra, Tirumanjanam is performed to all Nava Narasimha Perumals, followed by the Sudarshana Narasimha Homam and special pujas. Devotees who have the sacred darshan of Sri Ahobila Narasimha Swamy on this auspicious day are blessed with prosperity, well-being, and divine grace. By the blessings of the Lord, their righteous wishes and auspicious endeavors are fulfilled.
